Refurbished Mk3 TGS 44093 and Buffet 40716 were hauled from Bombardier Ilford to Laira during the afternoon of 18 June 2007. The train scheduled as the 13.00 departure from Ilford ran some two hours late and by the time it reached Dawlish the light was virtually gone.

After having engine trouble with Class 67 No. 67013 in the London division, the 07.12 Paddington - Paignton charter on 14 Jult 2007 had to have the rear engine No. 67026 attached to the front at Reading, giving what looked like a double headed working. Emerging from Parsons Tunnel, Teignmouth the train is seen around 90mins late heading for Paignton.
