A good quality prime f1.4 lens and a high ISO speed now allows some form of 'record' photography of trains on the move at night, this is especially useful to record historic or one off moves. On Saturday 13 January 2007, GBRf used brand new Class 66/7s Nos. 66726 and 66727 to 'top and tail' three refurbished FGW coaches as the 14.35 Derby-Laira. This was the first revenue earning train powered by a First Group-livered Class 66. The train is seen passing Dawlish at 20.50 with an exposure of 1/200 at f1.8 at 800iso.
