The Network Rail 'Structure Gauging Train' visited the West Country on 26-27 March 2007. Top and tailed by Class 31s Nos. 31285 and 31106 the train is seen crossing Cockwood Harbour in fading light forming the 1Z06, 18.05 Exeter Depot, 18.25 Exeter St Davids to Penzance on 27 March.
