On 5 April 2007, Virgin Trains hired-in a MML HST set with powercars Nos. 43007 and 43072 to form the 06.05 Derby - Plymouth and 11.50 return to Newcastle. The return train is seen approaching Teignmouth at Shaldon Bridge.
